Good morning to you all,
I want to thank everyone on behalf of 2nd VDG candidate Laxmi Chaudhary for your presence and participation in the meeting . The meeting was held on 1/21 @ Ajanta Restaurant in Berkeley CA. 20 people including Lion Laxmi Chaudhary showed up and fully supported her campaign. The meeting started with a brief introduction of 2nd VDG Candidate Lion Laxmi followed by introduction of committee members.
As a dedicated lion, Lion Laxmi choose her theme ” Serving with Integrity”. In the meeting, She mentioned three things that inspired her to take this role. 1st inspiration is the believe and desire from all Lion leaders in the clubs and district. 2nd inspiration is PDG Lion Rajen Thapa and 3rd is 1st VDG Lion Manil B Shrestha. Lots of suggestions was made on how to move forward with this campaign. Campaign Chair lion Don Kiang suggested to start the club visitations as soon as early February and finish before our 3rd District meeting which will be held on March 18,2023. Suggestion was also made to contact all the zone chairs to help coordinate these campaign visitations by somehow lumping visitations together and perhaps leave the bigger clubs to visit individually. The district leaders in the meeting have promised to support her and also volunteer in organizing club/zone visitations. In the meeting, 8 committee members donated $100 each to show their support for her campaign. Lion Laxmi is very thankful to each and everyone of you. It was discussed that we will have our next committee meeting on 2nd sat of February( Feb11) @ Ajanta Restaurant.
